CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocates, is the only volunteer organization
that appoints everyday citizens as representatives of the court. A CASA is
appointed by a judge to speak on the behalf of an abused and/or neglected child
in court. CASA volunteers usually handle one case at a time and commit to
staying with a case until a child is in a permanent home. This is typically 18
months. A CASA worker may be one of the only constants in a child's life due to
high turnover in social work. CASA Application. If you have additional questions about becoming
a CASA,
contact Robin Dill - 405.275.3340 or Robin@hopehouseonline.org.
