General Purpose: Medicaid extends access to medical services to low-income
individuals through a federal/state health program. Categories include
pregnancy, children under 18, single, incapacitated, or unemployed parents, over
65, disabled or blind.
Eligibility: Same.
Services: Eligibility for Medicaid can result in access to health
care. Other program include nursing care, Medicare premium and coinsurance
coverage, in-home care.

Services: Services are available through contracted home care
agencies. They may include help with bathing, meal preparation, housekeeping,
and some skilled nursing needs.

General Purpose: Children's program - health care and social services for
disabled children who receive supplemental security income benefits.
Eligibility: Recipients of federal supplemental security income who
are 16 years of age or younger.

Services: Assessments are conducted to assure that all available
services and resources necessary to assist each eligible child to become
self-sufficient or self-supporting are being provided.

employment outcome from vocational rehabilitation services, requires vocational
rehabilitation services to engage in employment.
Fees: Cost of service depends on income levels.
Services: Diagnostic services, employment services, supported
employment services, transition school to work program, independent living

General Purpose: The ODRS serves eligible Oklahomans who have disabilities
which prevent them from working. The goal is to provide services to help retain
employment.
Eligibility: Must have significant visual disabilities which cannot
correct with glasses. They must also be willing to retain or obtain work after
physical restoration, training or adaptive services are provided.
Fees: Some consumers may have to participate in costs, if they are above
economic need guidelines.
Services: Physical restoration, vocational training, adaptive or
optical equipment, independent living services, ongoing counseling to help
people adjust to disabilities and prepare for entry into competitive work.
Use of Volunteers: Drive visually impaired clients to doctors, employment
interviews, college interviews, etc.

various duties.

education classes or workshops, parent-child enrichment services, community
development, consultation, and referral.
