General Purpose: Medicaid extends access to medical services to low-income individuals through a federal/state health program. Categories include pregnancy, children under 18, single, incapacitated, or unemployed parents, over 65, disabled or blind.
Eligibility: Same.
Services: Eligibility for Medicaid can result in access to health care. Other program include nursing care, Medicare premium and coinsurance coverage, in-home care.

Non-Technical Medical Care

General Purpose: To assess medically and financially for in home care services.
Eligibility: Based on medical need as prescribed by person's physician; contact the DHS for current income and resource limitations.
Fees: None.
Services: Services are available through contracted home care agencies. They may include help with bathing, meal preparation, housekeeping, and some skilled nursing needs.

SSI Disabled Children's Program

General Purpose: Children's program - health care and social services for disabled children who receive supplemental security income benefits.
Eligibility: Recipients of federal supplemental security income who are 16 years of age or younger.
Fees: None.
Services: Assessments are conducted to assure that all available services and resources necessary to assist each eligible child to become self-sufficient or self-supporting are being provided.

General Purpose: Provide subsidized assistance with child care costs when parents or caretakers are employed and/or in school.
Services: Assistance with cost of day care when using a DHS licensed and contracted day care home or center.

General Purpose: To provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to achieve productivity, independence and an enriched quality of life. Serving Pottawatomie & Lincoln Counties.
Eligibility: Physical or mental impairment which results in a substantial limitation to employment, ability to benefit in terms of an employment outcome from vocational rehabilitation services, requires vocational rehabilitation services to engage in employment.
Fees: Cost of service depends on income levels.
Services: Diagnostic services, employment services, supported employment services, transition school to work program, independent living services, interpreter services, telecommunications program, visual services is served by Teresa McDermott (580) 436-2530.

General Purpose: The ODRS serves eligible Oklahomans who have disabilities which prevent them from working. The goal is to provide services to help retain employment. 
Eligibility: Must have significant visual disabilities which cannot correct with glasses. They must also be willing to retain or obtain work after physical restoration, training or adaptive services are provided.
Fees: Some consumers may have to participate in costs, if they are above economic need guidelines.
Services: Physical restoration, vocational training, adaptive or optical equipment, independent living services, ongoing counseling to help people adjust to disabilities and prepare for entry into competitive work.
Use of Volunteers: Drive visually impaired clients to doctors, employment interviews, college interviews, etc.

General Purpose: Prosecute all crimes within District, legal advisor for county officials on official matters, defender or prosecutor for the county in any civil litigation involving county, assistance with child support enforcement, bogus checks & assistance for victims.
Eligibility: Must be involved in open criminal case or juvenile case.
Fees: None.
Services: Assistance for victims of crime when personal injury results & assistance with Emergency Protective Orders upon referral from Court Clerk.
Use of Volunteers: Volunteers can be used in the victim witness center for various duties.

General Purpose: To provide programs which focus on the primary prevention of developmental and behavioral problems of children as well as, consultation services to parents, groups, organizations, and other professionals who have questions about young children.
Eligibility: Parents and their children, birth - 6 yrs old, and groups, organizations, and other professionals.
Fees: The charge for services is based on family size and income. Third party payments may apply. Services are not denied based on inability to pay.
Services: Child development assessments, parent consultation, parent education classes or workshops, parent-child enrichment services, community development, consultation, and referral.

 Farmers Home Administration

General Purpose: Loans funds in rural communities to low to moderate income individuals who cannot get credit from any other source, and community projects to help improve the standard of living.
Eligibility: Depending on the program, various eligibility requirements must be met. Contact the local Farmers Home Administration office for further assistance.
Services: Low to moderate income housing, agriculture loans, community program loans and grants, business and industry loans.
